Harley School SIP Project Profile
Harley School – Brighton, NY
The Harley School in Brighton, NY, has opened a new building for their students called The Commons Building. The students are tasked with running the building and working out how to make it a “net zero” building. The school is one step ahead due to the fact that the building is very well insulated thanks to the R-Control SIP roof construction.
R-Control SIPs not only provide a strong structural system that resist loads caused by wind and snow, but they are also environmentally friendly. The structural facings of R-Control SIPs are made from renewable controlled growth wood resources, and the EPS core contains no CFCs, HCFCs, HFCs, or formaldehyde while providing superior insulation. For years and years, this R-Control structure will save fuel used for heating and cooling and reduce pollutants.
